Iftar organized with the participation of mothers of martyrs
On March 6, with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, an event was organized within the framework of the project "My Son is a Hero!" on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan and International Women's Day - March 8.
As part of the event held during the holy month of Ramadan, an iftar was held.
Mothers and family members of martyrs from various regions of Azerbaijan participated in the event.
As reported by Azertaj, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, head of the IDEA Public Association Leyla Aliyeva also participated in the iftar together with the families of martyrs and communicated with them.
The event was a tribute to the memory of the martyrs who fought for the territorial integrity of our country, as well as a symbol of the care shown to their families by the state and society.
During the event, the valor of the Azerbaijani Army under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, and the heroism of the sons of the Motherland who became martyrs in the name of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity were discussed. Prayers were offered for the repose of the souls of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs, and prayers were raised to the Almighty for peace throughout the world and the preservation of calm and security in our country.
Speaking on behalf of the martyrs' families, Samaya Hashimova, the mother of the martyred National Hero of Azerbaijan Major General Polad Hashimov, noted that the families of martyrs are constantly at the center of attention. Gratitude was expressed for the care and respect shown to them.

It should be noted that within the framework of the projects "My Father is a Hero" and "My Son is a Hero," dedicated to the memory of the heroic sons of Azerbaijan who gave their lives for the Motherland, a series of events is held with the participation of martyrs' families. Meetings with the participation of martyrs' families once again make them feel that the state and people of Azerbaijan are always by their side. Such events are an expression of attention and care for the families of martyrs, and respect for the memory of their heroic sons. At the same time, these events are designed to support the activities carried out by the state in this direction.
