Favorite dish that turns into poison if reheated again

Many people are used to reheating food the next day without thinking about possible risks. However, scientists warn: some dishes can become dangerous when reheated. One of them is rice.
Specialists note that bacteria Bacillus cereus can multiply in cooked rice, producing toxic substances. If rice is left at room temperature for several hours and then reheated, these toxins will not be destroyed, even at high temperatures. Consuming such a dish can lead to food poisoning, accompanied by nausea, vomiting, and stomach upset.
To avoid danger, experts advise:
- Store cooked rice in the refrigerator for no longer than a day.
- Reheat only once.
- Consume the dish immediately after preparation.
Medical professionals warn that a similar effect is possible with other foods, such as potatoes, mushrooms, chicken, and spinach. Therefore, it is important to follow proper storage and reheating rules to avoid unpleasant consequences.
