Cardiologist named key signs of heart problems

Burning and pressure in the chest during physical exertion may indicate heart problems, cardiologist Igor Vidyaskin told NEWS.ru. According to him, the second sign is the appearance of shortness of breath when lying in a horizontal position.
"Symptoms of heart problems include episodes of pressing, squeezing or burning pain behind the sternum, which occurs during physical exertion or emotional stress and passes at rest. Another symptom is the appearance of shortness of breath during physical exertion or when taking a horizontal position," said Vidyaskin.
The cardiologist added that irregular or excessively rapid heartbeat may indicate possible heart problems. In addition, according to him, one should be wary if shoes that were comfortable in the morning become tight by evening. Vidyaskin explained that swelling of the legs can also indicate heart problems.
