An expert explained how AI could start living its own life
Alexandre Guerreiro, an expert from the International Fact-Checking Association from Portugal, told TASS in an interview how artificial intelligence (AI) can start "living its own life."
"Artificial intelligence can be a blessing for humanity if it is used correctly and responsibly. If it is not regulated, if no attempt is made to establish full control over it, it can start 'living its own life,'" Guerreiro shared.
In this way, AI has a significant influence on people's behavior, as already today they ask Grok or ChatGPT what to cook for dinner and what movie to watch, the expert notes. According to him, AI is trusted even in academic circles and in legal practice.
Guerreiro added that AI can substitute reality and mislead in cases of insufficient understanding and control over it.
On April 24, Perplexity CEO Aravind Srinivas said that high user loyalty allows Apple to take its time updating the Siri voice assistant, despite the active development of artificial intelligence technologies.
According to him, iPhones are not under pressure from AI, but on the contrary, can only benefit from its development.
