The FIFA World Cup kicks off

On Thursday, June 11, the FIFA World Cup kicks off, followed with great interest by millions of fans around the world.

As reported by BAKU.WS, in the opening match of the 23rd World Cup, the hosts of the tournament - the national team of Mexico - will face the national team of South Africa.

The first match of Group A will begin at 23:00 Baku time and will be held at the "Mexico City" stadium. The match will be officiated by Brazilian referee Wilton Sampaio.

In the second match of the day, the national team of South Korea will play against the team of the Czech Republic. The match will take place at the "Estadio Akron" stadium and will begin at 06:00 Baku time.

It is noted that the World Cup will conclude on July 19.
