WEATHER WARNING - approaching rains and temperature drop by 10 degrees

From April 9 to 12, variable rainy weather is expected throughout the country, with occasional strengthening of the northwestern wind, as well as a gradual decrease in air temperature by 5-10 degrees compared to previous days.

It is noted that in Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula, intermittent rains are expected from the morning of April 10 until the morning of April 11. In some areas of the peninsula, there may be short-term intensification of precipitation and thunderstorms.

In the regions of Azerbaijan, variable rainy weather with thunderstorms is expected until noon on April 12. In the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur, Gazakh-Ganja, Balaken-Sheki, Guba-Gusar, Mountainous Shirvan, Central Aran, Lankaran-Astara region, intense heavy rains, hail are forecasted, and in mountainous areas, rain may turn into snow.

Due to the rainy weather, an increase in water levels in rivers is expected, and there is a possibility of short-term mudflows in some mountain rivers.
