Today marks six years since the shelling of the village of Garayusifli in the Barda district by the armed forces of Armenia.

On October 27, 2020, the Armenian side struck Garayusifli using cluster bombs prohibited under international law. These munitions are particularly dangerous for the civilian population, as they scatter numerous small explosive elements over a large area, increasing the radius of destruction and the number of casualties.

As a result of this war crime, five civilians were killed, including women and children. Another 14 civilians sustained injuries of varying severity.

It should be noted that during the 44-day war, the Azerbaijani army avenged the civilians on the battlefield.

It is worth recalling that as a result of rocket attacks and heavy artillery bombardments of the city of Barda on October 5, 8, 27, 28, and November 7, 2020, 29 people were deliberately killed (8 women, 19 men, 2 children), and 112 people were injured (26 women, 71 men, 15 children). Significant material damage was inflicted on the city's civilian infrastructure, vehicles, residential buildings, and other structures.
