Translation:Decision on the case of a prominent doctor arrested in connection with Nazrin's death

A court hearing was held on the appeal against the arrest measure for doctor Sanan Mehdiyev, who was detained on suspicion of the death of Nazrin Mansurlu, who fell into a coma after nose surgery. According to Report, the Baku Court of Appeal, presided by Judge Ramin Garagurbanli, announced the decision that the appeal was not satisfied. The arrest measure against the doctor remained unchanged. Recall that a few days ago, by the decision of the Narimanov District Court, S. Mehdiyev was arrested for three months. Note that following the death of Baku resident Mansurlu Nazrin Aydin gizi (born 1995) at a medical facility on January 12 this year, the Nasimi District Prosecutor's Office conducted an investigation. It was initially established that N. Mansurlu underwent surgery to correct a deviated septum (septoplasty) on January 3 at one of the clinics located in the Nasimi district of the capital. Shortly after the operation, her condition sharply deteriorated, she fell into a coma and died in the medical facility where she was placed for treatment. The Nasimi District Prosecutor's Office initiated a criminal case under Article 314.2 (negligence resulting in death of the victim) of the Criminal Code, and an investigation is ongoing. Relevant examinations have been ordered and necessary procedural actions are being carried out in the case.
