The court issued a verdict regarding the killer of the stepsister

The Ganja Court of Appeal rejected the appeal against the sentence of Huseyn Abbasov, who was found guilty of the brutal murder of his stepsister - famous singer Sabina Abbasova.
As Oxu.Az reports, the court fully upheld the decision of the Ganja Court for Serious Crimes, finding no grounds for reducing the sentence.
The tragic story has a shocking background. Huseyn Abbasov had previously committed a serious crime - 15 years ago he took the life of his own mother, for which he served a 12-year prison term. After being released from prison, he planned to kill his stepsister Sabina, who was building a career as a singer.
On November 2, 2023, the bloody plan was carried out. Abbasov came to his sister's house and inflicted 14 stab wounds on her in the yard of the residence, leaving no chance for survival.
The Ganja Court for Serious Crimes sentenced the murderer to 19 years of imprisonment with the first five years to be served in prison, and the remaining part of the term in a strict regime colony.
