Scandal on air: an investigation will be conducted regarding the TV host

Statements by Kanal S TV presenter Nigyar Farhad during the program Sözün bitdiyi an ("When Words End") were sharply criticized by the public, reports Oxu.Az.

During the program, the TV presenter stated literally the following: "If I had a son, I would not be able to accept a girl without a father as his wife, because from birth I saw in my family that a man in the house should be a man. He should have a masculine character. A woman who does not understand submission to a man will never make anyone's son happy."

These statements sparked heated discussions across social media. Users criticized the presenter, considering her words inappropriate for broadcast.

In response to Oxu.Az's inquiry, the Audiovisual Council promised to conduct an investigation regarding the presenter's speech, take appropriate measures within the framework of the law, and provide clarification to the public.

"We express concern and condemn the subjective opinions of the presenter that were voiced in the program Sözün bitdiyi an on Kanal S," the statement says.
