In the Ganja Court for Serious Crimes, the judicial investigation of the criminal case against Natig Gubadov (surname is conditional), accused of intentional infliction of serious harm to health and hooliganism, has been completed.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Pravda.az, the verdict was announced at the trial presided over by Judge Abdullah Mamedov.

According to the court's decision, it was proven that the accused committed criminal acts while in a state of insanity. Since the defendant was in a state of insanity at the time of committing a socially dangerous act, he was exempted from criminal liability and punishment. Natig Gubadov was subjected to compulsory medical measures in the form of compulsory treatment in a specialized psychiatric hospital. The execution of the decision was entrusted to the Republican Psychiatric Hospital No. 1 of the Ministry of Health.

According to the accusation, the incident occurred on March 16, 2024, at 09:30 in the administrative building of the Central Hospital of the Dashkesan district. Natig Gubadov, residing in Baku, came from the capital to the Dashkesan district regarding the return of funds that he had transferred to the card account of a woman he previously knew - N.M. He began looking for this woman in the hospital. N.M.'s mother, the victim M.M., also worked in the polyclinic department of this hospital as a maintenance worker. At that moment, they met, and M.M. expressed her objection about his visit. An argument arose between them. As a result, Natig, in the administrative building of the Dashkesan Central District Hospital, intentionally stabbed M.M. three times with a kitchen knife he was carrying, causing her serious bodily injuries. After the incident, Natig Gubadov was detained, and a preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen against him.

The parent of the accused stated in their testimony in court that his son earned a living by working as a day laborer at the "Meyveli" market in Baku. Natig underwent inpatient treatment for mental illness at the neuropsychiatric dispensary in the village of Shorsulu in the Salyan district and at a hospital located in the Sabunchi district of Baku, and is a disabled person of the 3rd group.
