President Ilham Aliyev, in his Decree "On continuing measures to improve the social welfare of the population," signed on December 23 last year, instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to prepare and submit proposals for increasing social benefits and pensions within three months. This period expired on March 23.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to "AzPolitika," the Cabinet of Ministers prepared and submitted proposals to the head of state within the specified period. Thus, an increase in the following benefits and pensions is expected in Azerbaijan in the near future.

Lifetime allowance for civil servants

Civil servants who do not have the minimum 15 years of civil service experience in administrative and support positions, upon voluntary retirement upon reaching retirement age or due to disability, if they are not entitled to a labor pension, receive a monthly allowance.

The amount of the allowance is 15 percent of the average monthly salary for the last 12 calendar months before the month of dismissal. The allowance is granted for life.

Age-related allowance

Men who have reached 65 years of age and women who have reached 64 years of age, who do not receive a labor pension, who do not have official income, that is, who are not working, receive a monthly age-related allowance in the amount of 220 manats.

Disability allowance

For impairment of body functions by 81-100 percent - 270 manats;

For impairment of body functions by 61-80 percent - 220 manats;

For impairment of body functions by 31-60 percent - 150 manats.

Loss of breadwinner allowance

This allowance is paid by the state as social assistance to disabled family members who do not receive a pension in connection with the loss of a breadwinner. The amount of the allowance is 120 manats and is assigned for a certain period to the following family members of the deceased breadwinner:

- children of the deceased until they reach 18 years of age. If the child is studying full-time, then until the completion of studies, but not more than 23 years;

- children of the deceased with disabilities established before 18 years of age and over 18 years - for the period of disability;

- one of the parents, brother, sister, grandfather or grandmother who care for the children of the deceased under 8 years of age and do not work regardless of age and ability to work - until the child reaches 8 years of age.

Allowance for children of conscript military service personnel

When a person is on conscript military service, the state pays his children a monthly allowance of 120 manats as social assistance.

Allowance for guardians of orphans and children deprived of parental care

The state pays a monthly allowance of 120 manats as additional social assistance.

Allowance for low-income families with children under 1 year

Families receiving targeted state social assistance are paid a monthly allowance of 100 manats for a child under 1 year until the end of the month in which the child turns one year old.

Allowance for women with more than five children

Women who have given birth to and raised more than five children, provided that the children are alive, receive a monthly allowance of 105 manats for each child when the sixth child turns one year old.

Allowance for an adopted child, including a child with disabilities under 18 years

A person who has adopted an orphan or a child deprived of parental care after January 1, 2021, receives an allowance. The amount of the allowance is 200 manats for a child 3-18 years old, 600 manats for a child 0-18 years old with established disability.

Allowance for raising a child placed in a foster family, including a child with disabilities under 18 years

Amount of allowance:

- for a child 0-6 years - 355 manats, 7-13 years - 375 manats, 14-18 years - 395 manats;

- for a child with disabilities 0-6 years - 395 manats, 7-13 years - 415 manats, 14-18 years - 435 manats.
