HONOR Magic7 Pro Smartphone Review

HONOR Magic7 and HONOR Magic7 Pro represent another step by the brand towards creating devices that not only meet modern standards but also set trends.

HONOR Magic7 Pro comes with a powerful 100W charger. Plus a case that should be sufficient at least for the initial period. Everything else is standard: SIM ejector tool, cable, brief instruction manual.

HONOR Magic7 Pro received advanced water protection according to IP69 standard. This means, for example, that the device would survive even in boiling water.

Only premium materials are used for the body. The back panel is made of fingerprint-resistant matte glass, while the frame is also matte but made of aluminum. In terms of color options, "lunar gray" can be considered the most notable. But there's also classic black and a conventionally feminine option in blue. As befitting flagships, the model is quite heavy (about 220g) and wide due to its large screen.

The OLED matrix has a 6.8-inch diagonal and supports everything a modern flagship display can support. This includes refresh rates from 1 to 120 Hz, eye-safe PWM frequency, high peak brightness of 5000 nits, and huge resolution providing over 450 PPI.

We decided to combine the story about HONOR Magic7 Pro cameras and AI functionality in one block because both aspects are closely interconnected. Plus, HONOR pays special attention to both photo capabilities and artificial intelligence.

Magic7 Pro is equipped with a main 50-megapixel camera with variable aperture, a 200MP periscope zoom sensor, and a 50MP ultra-wide sensor that can also take amazing super macro photos. Plus another 50MP for the front camera if you like taking selfies. AI is responsible for automatic shooting of dynamic scenes and selecting the best shot. The camera takes a series of shots 1.5 seconds before and after pressing the shutter button, and AI then selects the best frame while reducing noise and increasing photo clarity.

Additionally, artificial intelligence is responsible for optimizing light and color even during video recording, improving photo quality with super zoom, enhancing portrait photos (Harcourt mode is here), and even perfect color reproduction during night shooting, as well as for the photo editing mode that helps remove unwanted objects from photos.

Magic7 Pro also offers real-time speech translation (11 languages supported, including Russian and English), voice-to-text conversion, and article summarization in different styles. AI also participates in optimizing performance and power consumption, which we'll discuss separately.

HONOR Magic7 Pro features the advanced Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. Magic7 Pro has 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. More than enough for any task.

It uses a third-generation silicon-carbon battery with 5850 mAh capacity. AI recognizes smartphone usage scenarios and adjusts HONOR Magic7 Pro performance accordingly while helping maintain low power consumption. Depending on usage mode, one charge lasts up to three days. The included 100W adapter fully charges the battery in about half an hour.

HONOR Magic7 received a telephoto lens with more modest resolution (50MP vs 200MP) and without periscope. However, the smartphone still takes excellent photos.

HONOR Magic7 Pro costs 2699.99 manats, and Magic7 is priced at 2199.99 manats.
