Turkish World Week has started in Azerbaijan
The opening ceremony of the Turkic World Week, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress, is taking place in Baku.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, a number of international scientific and cultural events are planned within the framework of the Turkic World Week, which will last until July 3.
After the official part, a plenary session is planned on the topic "The Turkic World as a Family: Activities of International Turkic Organizations on Cooperation to Achieve Common Goals," as well as panel discussions on the topics "Dynamics of the Development of Turkic Languages: A Historical and Philological Perspective" and "The Legacy of the First Turkological Congress: Cultural and Scientific Integration of Turkic Peoples."
215 guests from 20 countries are participating in the event.
It should be noted that the event was organized in accordance with the decree of President Ilham Aliyev "On Holding the 100th Anniversary of the First Turkological Congress" dated October 22, 2025.
The Turkic World Week is held under the joint organization of the Ministry of Culture, the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Science and Education, and in partnership with the Organization of Turkic States, TURKSOY, Baku State University, the Turkic Academy, and the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation.
