The Chairperson of the Milli Mejlis has arrived in Italy to participate in the funeral ceremony of Pope Francis
The parliamentary delegation of Azerbaijan headed by the chairperson of Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova arrived in Italy on April 25 to participate in the funeral ceremony of Pope Francis.
As reported by the Milli Majlis, the delegation was met at Rome's international airport by Azerbaijan's ambassador to the Holy See Ilgar Mukhtarov, ambassador to Italy Rashad Aslanov, and official representatives of the Vatican.
The speaker of parliament will represent our country at the mourning ceremony, which will take place at the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore on April 26, and will also participate in the farewell to the Pope.
