Tensions in the Middle East: What Does the Iranian People Want?
Against the backdrop of recent processes taking place in Iran, the position of society and possible risks were discussed.
Journalist Turan Ibragimov appeared on the Aktual Gündəm program on Baku TV, stating that public sentiments in Iran are currently being closely monitored, and the further development of processes will directly depend on society's reaction.
According to him, comparing the Islamic Republic with Syria or Libya is incorrect:
"In Syria and Libya, tribalism, interfaith contradictions, and feudal thinking were at the forefront. After the change of leadership there, clashes on ethnic and religious grounds erupted. In Iran, however, this risk does not exist on a large scale in society as a whole."
