Putin met with Erdogan on the sidelines of the forum in Ashgabat
President of Russia Vladimir Putin and President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a bilateral meeting in Ashgabat.

Putin and Erdogan are in constant contact. The last time they met in person was on September 1 in Tianjin, China. After that, the leaders spoke twice by phone - on October 7 and November 24.
The meeting between Putin and Erdogan took place on the sidelines of the International Forum of Peace and Trust. As Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, earlier told journalists, at the forum meeting Erdogan spoke about Turkey's readiness to continue mediation activities and assist in the peace process regarding Ukraine.
The negotiations lasted 40 minutes.
