On April 28, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received in Gabala a delegation headed by the Minister of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Said bin Mubarak Al Hajeri.

As reported by BAKU.WS, noting that our bilateral relations based on strategic partnership are successfully developing in all areas, President Ilham Aliyev touched upon in this context the friendly relations with the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. President Ilham Aliyev recalled with satisfaction his visits to the UAE and the visits of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Azerbaijan, including to Karabakh, as well as the discussions held during these visits, emphasizing that all this played an important role in expanding bilateral ties.

Noting that Said bin Mubarak Al Hajeri arrived in our country with a large delegation, President Ilham Aliyev emphasized the role of this visit in terms of deepening our relations.

Expressing gratitude for the reception, Said bin Mubarak Al Hajeri conveyed to the head of our state the greetings of the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The President of Azerbaijan thanked for the greetings and asked to convey his greetings to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as well.

The guest congratulated on the successes achieved in the process of advancing the peace agenda in the South Caucasus region under the leadership of the head of our state, as well as on the awarding of the "Guernica Peace and Reconciliation Prize" to the President of Azerbaijan for his efforts aimed at achieving peace and promoting dialogue between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Thanking for the congratulations, President Ilham Aliyev recalled the awarding to him of the "Zayed Award for Human Fraternity," which promotes the humanitarian legacy and values of the founder of the United Arab Emirates, former President Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and asked the guest to once again convey his gratitude to the President of the UAE for this.

At the meeting, the rich bilateral agenda between our countries was emphasized, and an exchange of views took place on cooperation in the political, economic, trade, and energy spheres, including in the field of renewable energy, the activities of the joint investment fund, joint military exercises, and interaction in other areas.

During the conversation, the situation in the Middle East was touched upon, and the importance of resolving all issues in the region through diplomatic means was emphasized.
