Ilham Aliyev shared his thoughts on leadership in an interview with Chinese TV channel

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev shared his thoughts on leadership in a rapidly changing world during an interview with Chinese TV channel CGTN in Davos.

As reported by AZERTAG, emphasizing that leadership is a huge responsibility, the head of state noted: "And most importantly, a leader must always be fair to their people, to their population. Never lie to your people. And people will appreciate this. Sometimes, due to political reasons, leaders in their pursuit of power make many promises that they subsequently fail to fulfill. And this leads to disappointment, disbelief, and political crisis in different parts of the world."

Giving advice to leaders who wish to gain public support, the President said: "My advice to leaders who try to gain public support is always to tell the truth. And do what is necessary for the country."
