Ilham Aliyev received Nenad Lalovic

On July 29, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received President of United World Wrestling Nenad Lalovic.

As reported by BAKU.WS, during the conversation, the previous meeting between the head of our state and Nenad Lalovic was noted with satisfaction.

Stating that it was an honor for him to meet with the President of Azerbaijan, the guest emphasized the high level of organization of the U17 World Wrestling Championship in Baku. He expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for this and for the support of United World Wrestling's activities in general.

Emphasizing the development of wrestling as a sport in our country, Nenad Lalovic recalled that various international-level wrestling competitions are held in Azerbaijan and noted the successful cooperation with the Wrestling Federation of Azerbaijan.

President Ilham Aliyev touched upon the significance of the U17 World Wrestling Championship in Baku in terms of young athletes achieving success in the future and noted the importance of organizing such sporting events in our country going forward.

The head of state emphasized that Azerbaijani wrestlers have achieved very important victories to date.

During the meeting, it was noted that wrestling as a sport has rich traditions in our country, and the work carried out at the state level for its development was discussed.

An exchange of views took place on issues of cooperation between Azerbaijan and United World Wrestling.
