On October 7, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev called the president of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

Vladimir Putin thanked him for the congratulations.

During the telephone conversation, views were exchanged on the current state and prospects of relations between Azerbaijan and Russia.
