Energy supply for WUF13 will be organized based on sustainable solutions

A memorandum of cooperation has been signed in Baku between the Azerbaijan Operating Company of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) and "Azerenergy" OJSC.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the operating company, the document was signed by Chairman of the Board of "Azerenergy" OJSC Baba Rzayev and Executive Director of the operating company Adil Mammadov.

The main purpose of the memorandum is to provide "green energy" to the forum venue during WUF13. The initiative is aimed at the practical implementation of the forum's commitments to managing and reducing carbon emissions, as well as minimizing the environmental impact associated with energy consumption.

The low-carbon energy solutions envisaged within the framework of the forum will demonstrate the possibility of holding major international events based on a more environmentally friendly and sustainable model. The cooperation between the parties is regarded as an example of effective integration of sustainable event management principles with national energy infrastructure.

WUF13 will be held in Baku on May 17-22 and is considered one of the leading international platforms in the field of sustainable urban development and rational use of resources. The forum provides a platform for the presentation of innovative approaches and practical solutions. The implementation of "green" energy solutions underscores the priority of environmental responsibility in organizing the event.
