Why Women Need More Sleep Than Men — Research Findings
Research shows that women biologically need more sleep compared to men. According to experts, the main reasons for this are hormonal changes, numerous daily responsibilities, and more intensive brain activity.
As reported by BAKU.WS, a study conducted with the participation of 340 couples found that on weekends, women sleep on average 26 minutes longer than men.
Experts note that hormonal changes associated with the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, and menopause significantly affect sleep quality in women. In addition, balancing work and family responsibilities leads to increased fatigue.
Psychologists emphasize that chronic sleep deprivation increases irritability, anxiety, and emotional tension in women, which can negatively affect family relationships.
According to the study results, adequate rest for women is of utmost importance both for their health and for maintaining harmony in family relationships.
