Weather forecasters revealed until what date the precipitation will last

Heavy rains continue in several regions of Azerbaijan, creating difficult weather conditions for residents.

As reported to BAKU.WS by the National Hydrometeorological Service, precipitation has covered a significant part of the country.

According to data as of 10:00 on October 17, the highest amount of precipitation was recorded in Astara - 15 mm, in Guba - 13 mm, in Zagatala - 11 mm, in Shabran - 10 mm. Less precipitation fell in Oguz - 7 mm, Yardymly, Lankaran and Gusar - 5 mm each, Lerik - 4 mm. In Khaltan, as well as in Baku and the Absheron peninsula, about 2 mm of precipitation was registered. In Khachmaz, Gabala, Khyzy, Sheki (Kishchay), Kelbajar, Lachin and Gubadly, the amount of precipitation reached 1 mm.

The complex meteorological situation is aggravated by fog, which is observed in Sumgayit, Shamkir, Khyzy, Gusar, Gryze and Lerik, where visibility is reduced to 500 meters.

According to weather forecasters, rainy weather in the country will persist until the morning of October 18.
