State Examination Center: University admission plan this year has been fulfilled by 97.07%

The university admission plan this year has been fulfilled by 97.07%.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this was stated by the chairperson of the board of the State Examination Center (SEC) Maleyka Abbaszade.

She noted that this year 87,146 people participated in the competition for admission to higher education institutions:

"Of them, 58,947 people, including 4,215 sub-bachelor students, were admitted to higher education institutions. 28,108 people, including 1,145 sub-bachelor students, received the right to study under the state order, and another 317 people, including 58 sub-bachelor students, at the expense of the state budget. 30,522 people, including 3,012 sub-bachelor students, will be able to study on a paid basis. The admission plan for higher education institutions has been fulfilled by 97.07%. After the specialty selection process for the remaining vacant planned places, these figures will increase."

According to her, compared to the corresponding period last year, the number of students this year increased by 1,711 people:

"At the same time, the number of those admitted on the basis of the state order also exceeds last year's figure by 290 people. The increase in the number of state order places in recent years contributes to the growth of the number of students who receive the opportunity to study at the expense of the state."
