Rector of the Khachmaz church: May God protect our country
On January 7, Christmas was celebrated at the Orthodox Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in Khachmaz.
As Baku TV reports, members of the Orthodox Christian community living in the northern regions of Azerbaijan gathered at the church for the holiday, where services were held and prayers were offered.
The church rector Georgy Budagov congratulated believers and residents of the country on the holiday. He emphasized that Christmas is one of the most sacred and significant days for all Christians.
"All believers were waiting for this day. I congratulate everyone on the holiday. May God protect our country. May we live in peace and tranquility," said the rector.
Khachmaz resident Marianna Movludovna noted that she has been visiting this church for many years. "I was born and raised in Khachmaz. As long as I can remember, I have always come to this church. We are warmly welcomed here, and our priest is good," she said.
