American entrepreneur and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk stated that at least 100 thousand volunteers from Earth are needed for the successful colonization of Mars.

As reported by BAKU.WS, he announced this on the social network X.

"I am confident that Starship will land humans on Mars," Musk wrote.

Musk responded to a comment from ArsTechnica editor Eric Berger, who said he was not sure about the success of the Starship. However, Berger noted that Starship is the only vehicle that can send people far beyond our planet. In response, Musk said that he has a "general idea" about colonizing other planets and he has no doubt about the success of Starship.

The entrepreneur said that to achieve results, it's not just about sending people to Mars once, but creating conditions for life on Mars. Elon Musk is convinced that for this, at least one hundred thousand volunteers need to be sent to Mars who can establish a colony. In addition, at least 1 million tons of cargo necessary for building the colony will have to be sent from Earth.
