Mazahir Panahov re-elected as CEC chairman

Mazahir Panahov has been re-elected as the Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan for a new five-year term.

As reported by Report, discussions on the matter took place at today's CEC meeting.

The decision to elect Mazahir Panahov as the chairman of the commission was put to a vote and approved by the CEC members.

It should be noted that Panahov has been heading the CEC of Azerbaijan since May 2000.
