Leyla Aliyeva and Alena Aliyeva participated in a charity festival
On the initiative of Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the IDEA Public Association Leyla Aliyeva, a charity festival dedicated to educators of general education institutions of Azerbaijan was held.
About 1,000 educators from 290 general education institutions of the country participated in the event organized within the framework of cooperation between the IDEA Public Association, the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the ThinkIn organization.
As reported by BAKU.WS, Leyla Aliyeva and Alyona Aliyeva also participated in the festival organized in the open air at the Central Botanical Garden.
Leyla Aliyeva and Alyona Aliyeva familiarized themselves with the various working zones created on the festival grounds, interacted with participants in the national zone, art workshops, yoga and meditation sessions, the handicraft fair and other interactive spaces, took photographs and watched creative performances by schoolchildren. They were presented with various handmade items.
Speaking at the official part of the event, Leyla Aliyeva expressed confidence that the festival would awaken beautiful and positive feelings in everyone. Leyla Aliyeva emphasized that every child is a miracle, a treasure. The sooner we understand this, the sooner their talents will be revealed. Noting the importance of better understanding of children by teachers, parents and adults in general, Leyla Aliyeva said that kindness is the greatest happiness.
Then Leyla Aliyeva expressed gratitude to the educators for their responsible work.
At the panel discussion held within the framework of the event, opinions were exchanged on the importance of promoting values such as kindness, compassion, mutual respect and empathy in general education institutions. Narmina Huseynova, Acting Head of the Education Department for the city of Baku, and Vafa Kazdal, Vice Rector of ADA University, who participated in the discussion, particularly emphasized the important role of teachers in the development of future generations and society as a whole.
Then a ceremony was held to award the winners of the "Charity Marathon" held within the framework of the festival. The most creative content on social media on the topic of kindness among schools was evaluated in various nominations, and schools No. 55, 244, 83, 156, 185, 45, 277, 144, 211, 300 and 165 were announced as winners in the nominations "Most Sincere Gratitude," "Award for Charitable Deeds," "Best Environmental Initiative" and others. The marathon was conducted with the aim of encouraging kindness, gratitude, creativity and solidarity as a culture of everyday behavior in schools.
The festival, which took place in a festive atmosphere, concluded with an extensive concert program.
It should be noted that the main goal of the charity festival was to express deep respect and gratitude of society towards teachers, to promote the creation of a healthy educational environment based on kindness, mutual respect and support in schools, to contribute to the development of an educational culture based on empathy and moral values, as well as to demonstrate the important role of kindness in the education system and in the development of society.
At the handicraft fair held within the framework of the event, participants were presented with items made by students of Boarding School with Integrated Education No. 11, the autism center "Together and Healthy," the development center "Zəka yolu," İZ Community, Kashalata and other organizations.
