It has been revealed which household appliance most often breaks from a lightning strike
Lightning strikes hitting residential buildings most often damage household electronics and internal utility systems. According to insurance specialists, in the overwhelming majority of cases — around 93 percent — the main damage falls specifically on the interior of the building.
As reported by BAKU.WS, equipment connected to the electrical grid turns out to be the most vulnerable during a lightning strike. In approximately 52 percent of such cases, televisions, as well as routers and modems, are damaged. According to Russian experts, the cause is sudden voltage surges and malfunctions in the electrical wiring.
Specialists also warn that lightning can cause fires. At the same time, around 96 percent of similar incidents are recorded during the spring-summer season, when the period of active thunderstorms begins.
