Iranian Minister: Rasht-Astara Project with Baku and Moscow Enters Implementation Stage

Iran, Russia, and Azerbaijan held a trilateral meeting in Baku, which is considered an important step for advancing the Rasht - Astara railway project and other transit projects.
This was reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the Telegram channel "Free Iran".
The Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran, Farzana Sadigh, stated that the meeting created an effective platform for unifying the North-South international transport corridors and eliminating administrative barriers.
Sadigh clarified that the parties discussed the integration of railway and port infrastructure, technical coordination, and project planning, and reached relevant agreements:
"This trilateral coordination can strengthen Iran's economic position along the North-South international corridor and increase transit capabilities for cargo.
The Rasht-Astara route is considered one of the most challenging and vital sections of this transport corridor."
