In February, the maximum temperature reached 27 degrees

In February 2026, the average air temperature in Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula was +8 degrees, which is 4 degrees above the climatic norm.

This was reported to BAKU.WS by the head of the National Hydrometeorological Service, Nazim Mahmudov.

According to him, during 24 days of the month the temperature exceeded the norm, on three days it was below it, and only one day corresponded to climatic indicators. The maximum in Baku was recorded on February 14 - +26 degrees, in the regions - up to +27 degrees. The minimum temperature in the capital was –1 degree, in highland areas - down to -14 degrees.

Due to windy weather, 12 yellow and orange warnings were issued during the month. Winds were recorded in Baku for 17 days, in the regions - for 23 days.
