A popular British doctor has revealed in which cases coffee can do more harm than good. According to him, some people should seriously consider giving up this drink entirely.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Mirror, general practitioner Suraj Kukadia, known to TikTok users under the pseudonym "Dr. Sooj," warned about the potential negative health effects of coffee consumption.

The specialist noted that those who experience insomnia, heightened anxiety, or an elevated heart rate should reconsider their habits. According to the doctor, when such symptoms appear, it is advisable to reduce caffeine intake, and in some cases, to completely eliminate coffee from one's daily diet.

Kukadia also pointed out that caffeine remains in the body significantly longer than many people assume. Because of this, even a drink consumed in the first half of the day can continue to affect the body in the evening and interfere with proper rest.

According to the doctor, the residual effects of caffeine can impair sleep quality, make it harder to fall asleep, and affect the body's recovery during nighttime. This is precisely why people experiencing sleep problems are advised to carefully monitor the amount of coffee they consume and the time at which they drink it.
