Chairman of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan Ali Kerimli and party presidium member Mamed Ibrahim were interrogated at the State Security Service (SSS).

As Report informs, their interrogation took place as part of the investigation against them.

It is noted that the need to conduct searches in the home of Ali Kerimli and his advisor Mamed Ibrahim arose some time ago. In this regard, searches were conducted today in the residences of both individuals.

The reason was that SSS investigators, during the criminal investigation against Ramiz Mehtiev, began collecting evidence that could confirm the connection between Ali Kerimli and his party with the "gray cardinal." Currently, the investigation is examining possible connections between Ramiz Mehtiev and Ali Kerimli, which may form grounds for criminal liability.

Recall that on October 14, the Sabail District Court of Baku made a decision on the criminal case of Ramiz Mehtiev. The court granted the petition for the application of a preventive measure, choosing 4 months of house arrest for him.

Ramiz Mehtiev is accused under articles 278.1 (actions aimed at seizing state power), 274 (treason) and 193-1.3.2 (legalization of property obtained through criminal means) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
