AI Assistant for Schoolchildren to Be Implemented in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan will implement the EduSLM artificial intelligence system, which will serve as a mentor-assistant for schoolchildren.

As reported in response to a query from Report by the Ministry of Science and Education, the system will be implemented within the framework of the ministry's cooperation with the company Presight G42.

"This system will act as a mentor-assistant for students, providing them with personalized support in accordance with their level of knowledge. EduSLM performs such functions as answering questions on textbooks, preparing tests, checking and grading homework. In addition, the system creates interactive educational materials, analyzes students' achievements, and helps organize the educational process more effectively," the ministry reported.

The ministry noted that artificial intelligence technologies are capable of ensuring qualitative changes in the field of education, facilitating the work of teachers, and contributing to more effective use of time. "These technologies also create an individualized and adaptive learning environment for students, providing conditions for their personal development," the ministry emphasized.

It is noted that on June 29, under the chairmanship of First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva, the first meeting of the Council for Digital Development was held, at which new challenges were discussed, including issues of cyber and information security.
