Why did the number of non-cash transactions decrease?
Compared to the last quarter of 2025, in the first quarter of 2026, the volume of domestic cashless transactions decreased by 500 million manats.
This is stated in the information from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
It is noted that during the specified period, the volume of domestic e-commerce transactions also decreased by 500 million manats, debit card transactions by 1.1 billion manats, and credit card transactions by 74 million manats.
At the same time, during the reporting period, the volume of transactions through internet banking decreased by 12.1 billion manats, and through mobile banking by 1.7 billion manats.
