SOCAR and BCG signed an agreement to accelerate methane emissions reduction in the Caspian
SOCAR and Boston Consulting Group (BCG) signed an agreement to implement the Caspian Methane Emissions Abatement Accelerator initiative to reduce methane emissions in the Caspian region.
As reported to BAKU.WS by SOCAR, the document was signed during the Baku Energy Week by SOCAR Vice President Afgan Isayev and BCG Managing Director Pattabi Seshadri.
The initiative was put forward by SOCAR in collaboration with BCG in June last year with the aim of intensifying efforts to minimize methane emissions in the Caspian region by 2030. It is aimed at strengthening cooperation in methane emissions reduction, conducting joint research, implementing projects, sharing experience, and introducing effective practices in oil and gas operations in the region.
