WARNING: A magnetic storm has begun on Earth
World 90

On Earth on Friday, March 21, the beginning of a weak to moderate intensity magnetic storm (class G1 - G2) was recorded.

This information was confirmed by Mikhail Leus, a leading specialist at the "Phobos" weather center, through his official Telegram channel.

"Around 19:00 Baku time, the geomagnetic field became slightly disturbed, and from 21:00, magnetic storms with intensity ranging from weak to moderate, class G1-G2, have been observed," the expert informed.

The specialist explained that in recent days, no powerful flares were registered on the Sun - only two flares at the lower boundary of the middle class M were recorded. According to the forecaster's assessment, the likely cause of the current magnetic storm is our planet's entry into another stream of high-speed and dense solar wind.

According to Leus's forecast, the magnetic storm is expected to end by noon today. At the same time, until the end of the day, the geomagnetic field will maintain a predominantly slightly disturbed state.
