Vance: The US needs to test nuclear weapons from time to time

The United States needs to periodically conduct nuclear weapons tests.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated to journalists at the White House by US Vice President J.D. Vance.

"We have a large arsenal. Obviously, the Russians have a large nuclear arsenal. The Chinese do too. Sometimes you need to conduct tests to make sure it functions and works properly," he said.

However, the American Vice President did not specify whether the United States plans to resume nuclear explosions during tests.

Earlier in the morning, American leader Donald Trump said that he had instructed the Defense Department to immediately begin testing nuclear weapons. He emphasized that the US "possesses the largest nuclear weapons arsenal."
