Two airplane-sized asteroids will fly past Earth in September.

As BAKU.WS reports with reference to Sterlegrad, this was announced by the Center for the Study of Near-Earth Objects of the space agency.

Asteroids 2025 QD8 and 2025 QV5, each the size of a passenger aircraft, will fly past Earth on September 3 and 4 respectively, the authors of the publication shared details.

The article states that 2025 QD8 will pass at a distance of 136,000 miles from Earth - much closer than the Moon is located. And 2025 QV5 will fly at a distance of 500,000 miles from Earth - the closest in the past 100 years, according to the material.

Astronomers say that both space objects pose no threat to Earth. Even if the asteroids suddenly begin to fall to the Earth's surface, most of them will burn up in the atmosphere.
