Turkish teacher received 65 years in prison for abusing students

In Turkey, a primary school teacher from the Inebolu district of Kastamonu province has been sentenced to 65 years in prison for sexual abuse of 8 students. The court found the teacher A.C. guilty on all charges.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to foreign media, a criminal case was opened against the teacher on charges of "sexual assault" in the Inebolu Serious Crimes Court. According to the prosecutor, A.C. at different times committed acts of a sexual nature against 8 children, and showed some of them materials of intimate content.

The charges were confirmed by children's testimonies, statements from parents and teachers, school surveillance camera footage, as well as digital materials seized from the accused.

The families of the affected children demanded the most severe punishment for the teacher in court. A.C. denied all accusations and tried to defend himself.

The court, having found the guilt proven, issued a sentence of 65 years imprisonment without mitigation.
