Trump's Special Envoy Announces Date for Complete Ceasefire in Ukraine

US President's Special Envoy Stephen Witkoff expressed confidence that achieving a full ceasefire in Ukraine is possible in the coming weeks.
He stated this on Bloomberg TV.
"Negotiations for a complete ceasefire will begin in the coming days. I believe we can achieve this result in a couple of weeks," Witkoff noted.
According to him, meetings between representatives of Russia and the US are scheduled for next week in Saudi Arabia, where conditions for the cessation of hostilities will be discussed. The American special envoy clarified that the negotiations will take place at the expert level.
Earlier, on March 18, the presidents of Russia and the US, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, held telephone negotiations during which they discussed further development of cooperation between the countries. Both leaders expressed interest in normalizing bilateral relations to ensure stability and security in the world.
Additionally, Putin and Trump agreed to create expert groups to resolve the conflict in Ukraine and confirmed their intention to maintain contact on all key issues.
