Trump: US Could Take Control of Iran's Kharg Island

US President Donald Trump has suggested the possibility of taking control of the Iranian island of Kharg and restoring a naval blockade of Iran.

As reported by Interfax, the American leader made this statement on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Ankara, Turkey.

"We may take Kharg Island under control. And there's nothing they can do about it," Trump said.

"We may bring back the blockade... It will be a blockade that will apply only to Iran," the politician added.
