Tonight will be another symbolic update of the position of the hands of the famous "Doomsday Clock," which reflects the level of global threat to humanity. The ceremony will take place in Washington and begin at 15:00 British time, which corresponds to 19:00 Baku time. A live broadcast of the event is being organized by the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Kp.ru, the "Doomsday Clock" clearly shows how close humanity has come to self-destruction as a result of its own technological and political decisions. Midnight on this symbolic device represents the moment of global catastrophe and complete collapse of civilization.

As the hands approach midnight, experts note the growth of global threats. The greatest concerns are the risk of the Third World War beginning, ongoing armed conflicts in different regions, as well as the rapid and often uncontrolled development of artificial intelligence.

It is noted that in 2025, the world came closer to catastrophe than at any time in the history of the "Doomsday Clock": the hands were set at 90 seconds to midnight. For comparison, the safest position of the clock was recorded in 1991, after the end of the Cold War, when there were 17 minutes left until midnight.
