Supreme Leader of Iran issues new statement
Iran's new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has stated that the Islamic Republic will demand compensation from the US and Israel for the damage inflicted as a result of the attacks.
As reported by Mehr, his address was read on television and published by Iranian media.
"It is important to emphasize that in any case we will demand compensation from the adversary. If he refuses, we will seize as much of his property as we deem necessary, and if that is not possible, we will destroy an equivalent amount of his property," the statement said.
In addition, the need to identify and implement sufficient measures to compensate for financial damage caused to facilities and personal property was noted. Khamenei emphasized that these tasks fall within the responsibilities of the relevant officials.
He also assured that Tehran will definitely move to a "new phase" of managing the Strait of Hormuz. Speaking about the "southern neighbors" — the Persian Gulf countries, the Iranian leader called on them to "take the right side."
