Scientists warn of powerful solar flare

A powerful solar flare occurred on February 6, approaching the highest X-class in intensity.
According to the Institute of Applied Geophysics (IAG), the M7.6 flare was recorded at 14:04 Moscow time (15:04 Baku time) in the X-ray range in sunspot group 3981 (N05W16) and lasted 35 minutes.
According to the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy at IKI RAS and ISTP SB RAS, this is the second most powerful event in February. The strongest flare of the month, level M8.8, was registered on February 3.
The flare occurred in the largest active region 3981, which is facing Earth. Due to its position, there is a high probability of impact on our planet.
