Pashinyan nominated himself to participate in parliamentary elections
Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan announced his intention to run in the 2026 parliamentary elections.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by Armenian media.
In his social media post, he published a screenshot of a letter confirming his nomination as part of the proportional list of his party "Civil Contract" which he leads.
Statements about participation in the elections were also made by the second president Robert Kocharyan, former ombudsman Arman Tatoyan, as well as the "Our Way" movement, whose ideological leader is businessman Samvel Karapetyan, who has been under arrest since June 18.
