OpenAI CEO Concerned About People's Dependence on ChatGPT

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman expressed concern that users have become overly dependent on ChatGPT. He stated this during a speech at a Federal Reserve banking event, reports TechRadar.
"People rely too heavily on ChatGPT. Young users say: 'I can't make a single decision in life without telling ChatGPT everything. It knows me, it knows my friends. I'll do what it tells me to do.' This seems really wrong to me," Altman noted.
Daily, the ChatGPT platform receives more than 2.5 billion requests from users, and the number of active accounts per week exceeds 500 million. These figures make ChatGPT one of the most popular digital platforms in the world.
Altman emphasized that mass adherence to AI recommendations could have dangerous consequences. According to him, the idea that "together we will all decide to live as artificial intelligence directs us" is concerning.
