Nowruz may be declared an official holiday in Turkey

Nowruz may be officially recognized as a holiday in Turkey.

As BAKU.WS reports with reference to TRT Haber, this was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in his speech after a regular meeting of the country's Cabinet of Ministers.

According to him, Nowruz Bayram is celebrated in Turkey with special enthusiasm.

"We want Nowruz to be officially celebrated as a holiday," Erdogan said.

The head of the Turkish state also once again congratulated the countries celebrating Nowruz Bayram.
