An unknown rocket was launched from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station on Thursday, leaving a white contrail in the sky over the Atlantic, but no official announcements about the launch were made.

This was reported by the Florida Today portal.

According to the publication, the launch took place at approximately 12:30 local time (20:30 Baku time - ed.), while none of the major space launch operators had any flights scheduled for that time. The only indirect indication of an upcoming launch was an unusual navigation restriction zone established by the Coast Guard and the Department of Homeland Security in the eastern part of the ocean. Florida Today's inquiries to the U.S. Department of Defense went unanswered.

The publication recalls that in April 2025, a hypersonic missile was launched from the same cape as part of tests conducted by the U.S. Navy's Strategic Systems Programs, and in December 2024, an unannounced successful test of the Dark Eagle hypersonic weapon by the U.S. Army and Navy took place at the same location.
